Family Matters: Is Your Child a Brat?

Anna Osborn, family therapist, says the way kids act out, is not solely a kid issue and it's not just a parent issue, it is in fact a family issue.   On FOX40 News in the Morning, she defined a "brat" as a child who acts out in aggression towards others.

Parents need to set the expectations on how to react to situations, Osborn says. So if the parent gets angered easily, it's only natural for children to pick up on that. Osborn goes on to say that there needs to be an open dialogue in the family for expectations of behavior in private before situations arise.
